I have been up since 4.

I painted the trim on the nest box and the roof. The roof got porch and floor paint.
The "color match" at Home Depot doesn't.
I had to paint the whole side of the coop.

Chaos is apparently laying. Peanut is bad about egg eating so I rarely get an egg from that coop. Yes Peanut ticks me off.

4 is waaay too early!
Color match works if the person running the machine isn't a goober with the pigment pumps but a non goober is unicorn rare.
Lol, birds named Chaos and Peanut you'd think Peanut wouldn't be the trouble maker out of those names.

I have a guy bringing me a used chicken coop today . Its 95° out already. I need to move a pile of lumber to put it where it will fit and hubby won't be mad. Sigh.

Apparently it is really well built. $175 for the coop and $100 for delivery. It wouldn't fit on my truck.

Yeah.

When they were babies 3 managed to get out of the broody run causing quite the commotion. They got named Havoc, Chaos and Mayhem. The only one that stayed with Mom got named Peanut.
Mayhem is affectionately known as Miss May these days.

No, but I did try the fake eggs and mustard egg.
She ate the mustard.
The fake eggs got mothered by Bitty.

I can convert the new nest boxes to rollout easily enough. I am giving her a week then I convert them if she is still an idiot.
I think I should start the conversion for the lower box since I haven't added a board yet.
