Official Squatch Watchers

Someone I'm friends w/ on fb posted yesterday about a pullet that had her ACTUAL OVARY prolapsed from her vent!!! She shared pics. I suggested BYC b/c IDK wtf to do & also gave her the info for the vet I know that sees chickens. They processed some birds so they're ok w/ culling her if necessary. I'm so glad I haven't had to deal with anything like that. I mean, Jaiden was kinda the same thing, but all her problems were inside. Caring for animals is so stressful.. everything's fine and great, then all of a sudden they aren't. IDK what happened w/ the bird after that. It's so sad when things go so horribly wrong. I did mention that I knew of someone who had their bird sterilized & that it was possible, but expensive. Just when you think you've heard it all, something like that pops up.

Oh noo! I just wildly misjudged how good crap sticks to wood and a quick scrub turned into putty knife and chisel.
Seriously the paint let go before some of those turds did.:hmm
Trust me, I know how that goes. Same experience on the rehab coop.

Oh, that sounds like loads of fun. You should call the other concerned neighbor and ask them when they're going to be helping him out.

Oh, those people drive me crazy. I get a bit confused when I'm getting a bunch of suggestions, but I usually look at them all and decided what I'm capable of. I've had a few instances where do nothing was the solution, but if it's something as simple as cleaning a wound a little, of course you'd do it. Maybe the way to deal with these people is to say Well if it were me and I didn't want my bird to heal faster & not get an infection and die, I'd clean it and check on it. Probably separate them so the others don't eat it.

I need to ask, howwwww do you get the wasps and they're still edible for your chickens? My wasp killing centers around a huge can of poison.

That's adorable!!!
I gave the sick neighbor the concerned neighbors phone numbers. He didn't have it in his phone and he had my old work cell from pre 2012 :lau
Concerned neighbor has taken him to Dr in Chicago years ago... She drinks a lot of wine so might be a reason I get to play cabbie. I'm picking him up this morning and his stuff so hopefully it will be done. I will have to mow his and concerned neighbors yards. He mows her yard, that's actually what she was concerned about :gig

Good morning! Already off to a fun start, the derp boys are literally cock blocking each other.
Needless to say one is doing a little bit better job lol!
@apryl29 The wasps get sprayed with computer cleaner. I freeze them, stomp the adults then quickly get the nest down.

Lol my arms are still sore this morning!
That was a heck of a workout.:D

LOL Now that makes a lot of sense. You'd think that if he was mowing her yard (gawd that sounds like a euphemism) he'd have had her number.
I hope your service time is short.

Interesting. I'll have to remember that. I had a queen yellow jacket in my apt once (IDK how it go there) and I was couldn't use a fly swatter b/c it was attracted to tube light above my sink so I used but spray and that was as fun as you'd expect. That trick would have saved me a lot of cleaning.

He just gets mow happy. I don't think he charges her.... which would be a good reason she should be eager to help him:confused:
He mows part of my yard between his and my driveway... He mows about 2" high so he only has to every other week. I mow almost 4" so I miss some of the snakes and toads...so that strip does look stupid... But he kept blowing the grass on my steps and in the car brakes. Then he mowed infront of my house.. where the dog is tied up sometimes. Dog carp on the vehicles. Low branches of the spruce mowed up
:barnie:he So I sent a nasty gram and told him to stay on his own property because I was tired of needing new brakes every fall/2000 miles:rantHe apologized , said he would stay away from the front and mowed the other way :smackduh

So this somehow happened...

Yes, my dog somehow managed to split her nail in half, long wise.

Trying to touch her feet is like trying to touch a bears. It might be easier to treat the bear! So I cleaned it as best I could then put propolis on it.
