So after my day of hard yard work I've been super unmotivated to do anything.
I did make an important phone call today though and got good news.
I called the local zoning inspector. He is a super nice guy and when I was house hunting I talked to him more then once. So I had questions about building sheds on the property to use as chicken coops. Pretty much where I live if I say it's for agricultural use I can do what I want. LOL He does recommend following general building rules (so far from properly lines - not too tall) so that if in the future I or someone else doesn't want it for ag use it doesn't need to be torn down.
He said if I bought property with a horse arena on it it has to be used ag or torn down. I said but if I filled it with chickens instead of horses... he laughed and said "That's ag. It counts."
I also asked about registering as a farm. Would that make a difference? He said for taxes it would but for zoning not really. "It might save me a drive if the neighbors complain. I'll look up the address and say 'it's a farm she can do what she wants'. And that will be the end of it."
Like I said, nice guy.

I got two sand boxes and a slide for $10! The chickens will love the sand boxes.
