Official Squatch Watchers

Good morning folks :frow

:frow Morning Bob.

Another busy day here. At least it won't be boring. :p

I am going to try and find time to work on fixing Jacks bed cover. His new pad is smaller than the last so a bit of a nip and tuck needed.
He really likes the support of this pad a lot more than the crib mattress we tried for him.
I will make a couple blankets for River too as I am certain I will need to wash those a lot.
Kitty could use a good snuggle bed too.
Yup lots needing done for the critter comfort.

I should get the spent plants pulled out of the garden too. :hmm it's looking kind of rough out there.

Good questions. It is a real cast and will be checked twice a week with the second check involving a change.
He is a very expensive puppy. :th
So far they have spent 1800 on just this break. The emergency vet yesterday scalped them at $1500.
Today he did not go to CSU. He went to their usual vet who is treating twice a week with cast changes for far less. I think she said it would be the initial 300 then $50 twice a week. I may have that wrong.....:hmm

The ER vet told them surgery, pins and $8000. Totally nuts!
about 20 years ago my dad paid about 800 for their poouaua to get pins in her leg. She also broke it jumping off the couch. IDK how much they paid for the last dog that had something wrong w/ the back leg. I think the breeder knew something was wrong w/ it, but drugged it so they could sell it. I wonder if they really need to charge that much for stuff, or if they just do it b/c they know many people will pay it.
I didn't know they put real casts on dogs, that's really interesting. I assume it'll heal similarly to how a young human's bones will heal.. they 'find themselves' and bond back together & move to where they're supposed to be.

I won't even ask. :hmm
I'm curious, but not enough to be scarred for life.

Our dog recently had to have surgery and it was way more expensive than it should have been. All they were doing was stitching some skin and muscle together from a bite wound that was less than an inch, but it was over 1000. Luckily the owners of the dogs responsible for the wound paid for it.

In today's adventures.....more puppy sitting.

Now poor little dude cannot poop. :(

I will have all the puppies. The lady owner has to get tags for vehicles so....pups must be watched.
I am hoping her vet has at home remedies for little dude. No way do I want little dude to die on my watch.
:th
