In today's adventures.....more puppy sitting.

Now poor little dude cannot poop. :(

I will have all the puppies. The lady owner has to get tags for vehicles so....pups must be watched.
I am hoping her vet has at home remedies for little dude. No way do I want little dude to die on my watch.
:th
My dogs eat cukes, no problem in the poop department.

This is the 3&1/2 week old puppy with the broken leg. Cukes are not on the menu.

She is trying puppy enema before trying added stuff through the front end. Then it will likely be molassas.
Yeah, you would have to feed the mom the cukes, or other crucifers stuff, all pups would get the dose! I like broccoli, but could not eat it while nursing, green baby poop & lots of it!

Definitely don't need 12 puppies with runny poops. Especially since the runts in that litter are very small.

I think our puppy is going to be one of the 2 female runts from this group.

Why would you choose the runts, might I ask? The big healthy one is the usual choice.

These tiny girls are very responsive to voices, even when put at the back of the group they waddle back to the human no matter how many times they are moved.
It says a lot about how workable they will be.

Tilly the coon hound mix was a runt, Sable was a runt and even my big guy Jack was runty.
They all grew well with individual attention and have great recall/trainability.
To me size is not so important as smarts. :p

Even if these girls were the biggest in the litter they would be the ones chosen for their smarts.

I like the darker colored pups but I think hubby liked the lighter colored one better. She was extra stubborn about wanting human contact.

Reason for asking, was we ended up with the last one of a litter of 13 Brittany pups, she was the runt. Best dog we ever had, the breeder needed to be done and sold her for $50.00. She was already 10 weeks old when we got her, very socialized from being the last & only pup for over 2 weeks.

They really can turn into the best dogs for sure. Mine are pretty awesome....but I might be a bit biased. ;)

Sable stayed small reaching just 60# but Tilly is a 90# girl at nearly a year old and Jack is 110# at 10 years old.

My runt Brittany grew to full size @ 40 pounds. Never bred her, due to fear of 13 pups! Wish I had now that she is gone . . .
