It's so nice of you to get a couch just for your dogs!

UGH!! They have forecast 8-14 inches of snowman pieces for us.

I am gonna put a sign in the front yard that says...
"Free snowmen!! Some assembly required."
That sounds horrible. You're getting your rain, it's just coming as snow.

My parents were hoarders. We lived with Mom for a year after Dad died, and I had to talk her into getting rid of all her books. It was rough. Bad enough my Aunt was a hoarder too, and I cleaned out one condo and one small house of hers. I literally filled dumpsters at both locations and donated most of the rest of the stuff. I do have a tendency to collect stuff, mostly things I use to make things. I have lots of fabric.

Unfortunately I resemble that remark.
My parents had stuff from my grandma and when they retired to Texas they left everything. Then an aunt passed and some of her stuff ended up here. Then Dad passed and mom brought back the Texas stuff. I told myself when Mom passed in 2008 I would go through stuff. Then I said the same thing when my cousin's farm across the road went up for sale. And in 2012 when I retired. Farm hasn't sold and......Ummm I still haven't started. :barnie

It must seem like an impossible task!
The best thing to do is to start in bits

I keep hearing this!

Yes I need to pick a corner of a room and just start. I have a million excuses, few are valid... Today's excuse is I have somewhat decent weather and need to process turkey... As soon as it gets around 50f which should be shortly.

I need to work in the Garage some more. I have been getting rid of my two oldest daughters things. They both moved out, moved back in and brought boxes of household things. Most of it is gone but I need to get rid of more and then clean!

No s**w yet.

I got the big coop cleaned so moisture should be low in there. The little coop was already done.
Load 3 of laundry is running with just 3 to go.

Tilly is feeling better and better with less meds in her belly. She played a bit this morning even. Still not willing to eat her kibble. I soak it in hot water and blend it so she is still getting her normal kibble....like it or not.

I still need to drop the side plastic on the hoop run. Those Derps do not need to see snow.
:th

Not going anywhere for thanksgiving. Just keeping it small and simple here.

Oh!! My trooper brown egg layer in the big coop is an older Australorp. Yup laying right through molting.

Mo, I know it is a daunting task to sort through all the stuff. :hugs
Start small with achievable goals. That is my best advice.
:hmm I should do similar with my own junk to go through. My shop and sewing room are both messes. :(

Oh yeah.. my parents had a ton of carp, lost the house and got rid of a lot of stuff and moved into a trailer. Stored stuff at my gmas. Gma died & they bought the house & drug everything back there. My mom filled up the house, basement & sheds with junk. Then she decided everyone was stealing all her stuff so she sectioned off the basement so you could only get to the washer & started hiding her stuff in there, then got a storage unit b/c even though she blocked it off someone was STILL stealing it. She moved out and got her own place and the apt people told her she can't have all this carp in her apt so she got a storage unit again. Now she claims someone's stolen her identity. Then she came to my dad's w/ a list of more carp she wants (including a riding lawn mower!) and told him she'll have to get a bigger storage unit to put it all in & wants my nephews to come over and help her move it all. There's no logic. 1/2 the stuff is trash, the other 1/2 she doesn't need or have a place for. After she moved out she went to the goodwill & other thrift shops and bought random junk. She has thimble collections that she found at goodwill & bought & has them all over her walls, among other random junk. There's boxes of other carp left in the basement that we can't possibly throw away b/c she'll remember something and want it & if we can't find it she has a huge fit. She went on for hours about a pint of chalkboard paint that I couldn't find, but she KNEW it was on the shelf when she moved out. Can't possibly be that it wasn't there or that she took it, no! Someone threw it away! Family is exhausting.

That's a great excuse. There's always so much to do, and when there's not it's nice to just have a break to do nothing.
