I'm doing well, but we're really soggy right now.

Y'all certainly get a lot more wet than we do.

We are not forecast for anything as far as the forecast reaches...10 days of dry.

Hello everyone! Good morning.

The boys had me up before the chickens this morning (4:45am). I decided to let DH sleep in for a change and I got to work early. Which was fun while trying to wrangle both boys. I woke DH about a half hour ago to help with the wrangling. The Milk Drinker has decided now is a good time for his first morning nap. He's asleep on me at the moment but I'm hoping to transfer him to his crib when he is in a slightly deeper sleep.

Those mornings are really rather sweet. :love

They grow so very fast.

Good morning folks :frow

Hahah had to share.... even if I'm the only one that finds it funny..
So my mom is visiting. She leaves tomorrow. She likes to take care of the chickens and animals so when I'm at work she does them in the morning.. I have an Evil D'Uccle rooster, and this is she sent me this am

Checking in....

Back from the vet with Tilly and River.
Tilly is off the meds and just watch for symptoms like coughing. Her weight is good now at 80.2#.

River....like many droopy eared dogs had a minor ear infection. Long term meds are in, shots given, and good to go.
She weighs 48.2#.
Are you sure River isn't part horse? Glad Tilly's doing better.

It is hard to get just two stamps here. The UPS store wanted a dollar for each stamp and the post office does not have a vending machine with stamps in it anymore
Some stores sell stamps at their customer service desk too. IDK why, but it seems that it would be illegal to charge more than the cost of the stamp's value at the UPS store. You might want to ask about that b/c it really doesn't seem right... unless they don't sell 1st class stamps & the only ones they have are for higher amounts for larger packages, unless they were just out of regular stamps & that's all that they had, but that seems unlikely.

My son flew in for 10 days. got me a roomba and a new mattress coming next week.
My old mattress is from the 70's.
Yay for the new mattress & the roomba. I hope they both work well for you!

Im alive,albiet barely.
Remember ladies "and Bob", if you dont trust the potato salad dont eat the potato salad.
Please excuse my untimely absense, I have not been pleasant company.
Missed you guys, im semi normal and 10 lbs lighter....and a deathly fear of potato salad.
Sucks about the potato salad, but glad to hear you're doing better.

I am very glad you are feeling better. :hugs

I am cautious about tater salad too. I only eat it if I am the one who made it.

We have some really really stupid neighbors. At 2:30am they were shooting guns. Definitely not fireworks. They must never have heard "what goes up just come down". :hmm

Did you see the post where Tilly is now off the meds and doing well? :wee

River is now 48# too. :th
That is just 10# lighter than Sable.
I saw a news report where police were warning people in Columbus not to shoot guns into the air b/c the bullet will eventually come back down. People are so stupid.

Poor Tilly.
Her bestest most favorite ball split.
 I threw it in the TRASH!:hit

Then I went on chewy and ordered her 6 new ones.:caf

Right now she is searching everywhere for it while baying in a panicked state.

I should flip the sofa in case one is inside the lower section.........she seems to think there might be one there. :hmm
My ears will never be the same.

Ok a search found the last one of that kind hiding under the big raised dog bed.
Tilly has her happy back.

Now praying that the box from Chewy comes quickly.
That sounds exactly like when my youngest couldn't find her binky. You'd think the world was ending. She had a very particular kind she liked & refused to use anything else. I bought a bunch b/c she couldn't sleep w/o it. It was horrible for a few days when it was time to give it up.

Any of you use sulfur in the coop? I did the oxalic acid treatment to the coop and I'd say knocked the mites back 80%-90%. Still a few running around. I added a dust bath tub that I know they are using but I was going to add sulfur to it.
Who knew there were so many sulfer options. Looking for any recommendations.
I hope the sulfur works to kill off the mites. :fl that your mite problems are over soon.

I just set up my first breeding pen of the year! This is Hop-a-long, one of my Cornish roos that was maimed by that bully Blue Cochin I had, along with my two original Cornish girls and the lone White I have left from eggs I got from Fairview01. I had a White cockerel hatch too but he died of suicidal stupidity. Hop-a-long has recovered nicely. He only has a lip if he tries to move fast.

I think most of us can relate.

I am beginning to think she is part Clydesdale. :th

I will be shopping in the equine section for sure at this rate. :lau

I will be relieved when the Chewy box arrives!

She is still upset but is at least trying out other toys.

You can get garden quality spinosad from a store like walmart as a concentrate and mix it up to garden bug killing strength. It will persist in the coup to kill bugs for a month out of the sun. It is not toxic to the birds

That’s the active ingredient of Elector PSP. I sprayed the coop when I sprayed the birds. I want the sulfur for in the dust bath.
