Kind of far cross country for mice!
Ya, I should just name it and wait on a hen to get it. Maybe call it beak bait.

You want to catch that mouse?Wanna come help me with a brave little mouse in my coop? It avoids traps. We have a routine at night now. I shine the flashlight and say "out" and it heads out the pop door. I am sure it just comes back once I am gone.

Get a 5 gallon bucket put 3 inches of water in it and smear peanut butter just above the water with a little ramp to the top of the bucket. Also put some grain in the water so you can't see the water. Then you should have a dead mouse in the next few daysI do want to be rid of it. Any tips?
I tried the snap traps and the bucket traps. So far it has zero interest in peanut butter, cheetoes, doritos, cheese, or whole peanuts.
Have you seen the walk the plank trap? Both good suggestions. I will give it a go.
I saw your cute black one!Well, I'm off to bed. Hopefully, I'll have more fresh hatched babies in the morning. I have pictures over on my incubation thread.
