Official Squatch Watchers

I find them the friendliest breed I've raised.
I am afraid the batch I have here runs towards the cockerels which are always so cute and friendly as chicks, no matter what breed. Looks like I will be trying out how dual purpose they are sometime in September, lots of light colored chicks.

Hope you are feeling well. Still keeping you in our prayers. They are much cuter when they are chicks! I feel like banding this little guy, but he is too young & I would have to change it a lot. Have had them jump up on my hands while I feed them. Very friendly (or hungry);)!
Thank you 😊 I think the same about chicks :)

These chickens are only 6 weeks, 7 weeks for the Naked Necks, old and they are already chickens. Two white rocks from Ideal sure look like they are going to make nice big birds! The big NN already weighs 2 pounds, Rock was 1.5 lbs.

Good morning everyone!

I’m feeling a great deal better today. Not only have I been fighting morning sickness but I’ve had a UTI as well. I found a remedy that is working and last night was the first decent night of sleep I’ve had all week. I also got my organic Doritos yesterday! They help with my morning sickness a LOT I have no idea why. Must be something in the spices.

Happy Birthday @Grammy60!

I just put more in too!
I too set more eggs last night, though my fertility is in the crapper. Out of 12 guinea eggs I set last week, only two are fertile. My Cornish eggs are also less fertile. My best hen right now is my White Cornish girl. Most of the fertile eggs that hatch are hers. My two girls from my original trio are a close second. I’m barely getting anything from the 4 Dark girls from 2018. And the eggs I am getting most aren’t fertile and the ones that are aren’t hatching. Good thing my breeding plans for next year don’t include them.
