Just had a stink bug land on me! Wish i knew where they are coming from! I wrap them in paper and toss on the fire. We still have lady bugs and mosquitos too! Like, go away it is winter!

While moving things around in the house and garage I am finding stink bugs and asian beetles hibernating! I. Hate. Both. Of. Them.

And crane flies are out tonight

We had a major horde of stink bugs this year! They are in and under all the stuff in the garden shed. My Shepherd eats them and makes funny faces!

I'm not kidding these have been the wonkest bunch of chickens I've ever had. Don't get me wrong I love each and every one but they're all a little bit special. I still have to walk the faverolles to bed and they'll be a year old in April. The roo won't roost until i rub his comb and beard and tell him goodnight. The dom has her own special spot and won't stay until she gets her wattle rub and goodnight. The easter egger, ameracuna and delaware roost fairly good but they're like the three stooges in there. No wonder I'm a crazy chicken lady.

I thought I was the only one here who had to tuck their chickens in at bedtime.
At least I finally broke them of a VERY bad habit.
Before getting tucked in they all wanted a drink of water.
They have water in their coop. I'm not talking about that.
They got refrigerator water brought out in a bowl which got passed from beak to beak at least several times each. They'd all purr and trill for more while another one was sipping. I went up and down the line saying "last call girls! Hurry up! It's bedtime! "
I wonder when it gets hot again if they'll remember it...
My husband started it.
If he gets going on it again I'll have to break his arm.

That is too funny! Our Shepherd is fussy about her water. 6 hour old water is not good enough!
