Good morning y'all.

Apparently any lights coming on in the house is now enough to wake up the ducks. 😳
Loud quacking at 4am......probably not what the neighbors want to hear.
Must work on remembering to close North and East windows on duck house.
🤫 No no duckies it is to early.
Good morning Henny :frow oops, Early wake up call 😁

I shut the lights off leaving the range hood light on low and they have quieted. It is a shock how just a little light will wake them. :hmm

I don't remember my old flock ever being as loud as these girls are. :th

I don't think our ducks have ever been close enough to the lights for that to happen, plus our closest neighbor is a half mile away. We've been at their house before and could hear the chickens, so probably the ducks as well.

Good morning everyone!
They figure with jobs scarce they can always get another desperate driver. Is the parked bus 37 miles away from your house?
The bus would be initially parked farther away than that. If he could get the closer route, the bus could be parked at the park and ride on our way to the highway. But there is still the problem of him being stranded.
We have kind of the opposite issue. We train drivers and then they leave us for others districts because we don’t offer benefits, but we do pay them while to training them. It’s lose/lose for us. He can always ask for a different route. If he’s unsure anyway, he won’t lose anything if they say no.
They haven't paid him a red cent. In fact, after all is said and done, we'll be out about $350 IF DH passes the CDL road test the first time. It is $100 for each road test. He only gets reimbursed if he works for them a year. So if they want to stick him with the crap route, we don't feel bad about taking the CDL and running. I know they've put money into paying the instructors, but if they wanted to do this right, they would be paying for training.
