I'm glad she's ok!

At this point, it might be cheaper to just put concrete in the entire run.
Good morning Rae :frow have a great Wednesday

Good morning! Got everybody fed and tended to.
Jerry has decided he's too big and macho to ride in the carrier to the pen but is perfectly fine with riding on my arm.
I looked like a budget falconeer out there.:)
Good morning Chicky :frow have a great Wednesday

Somehow I managed to get the birds tended and the trash cans to the curb.

Do the birds need more....yes. I will do more as I can grab a second or three. River has all meds on board and we are headed to the vet in a few for the morning check and IV catheter removal.

we used an inflatable collar for our lab mix instead of the big plastic cone--just enough that he couldn't turn head around and nip stitches

I have seen those. Issue here is we have 4 other young dogs and it would surely get destroyed in seconds.

I left her body harness on so I have a good handle. It is a padded harness so that helps a ton.
With it being intestinal surgery food will be at 1/4 cup every 2 hours today consisting of chicken and rice with some water to help keep her hydration up. She ate at 6:30 and had a good appetite. Water is being delivered to her so she need not get up for it.

Sounds like you have it under control, as best you can anyway :hugs:hugs
Again, thoughts and prayers for you both

I was babysitting some pups for a friend and took one last look at them before heading off to work. Something seemed off, so I took the pup to the vet. She had an intestinal tortion! If I had just left her for the day, things could have been bad.
Glad River is improving! I had a dog once that would fetch rocks if you threw them in the lake. He never did swallow one that I know of.

So sorry about River :hugs How did the checkup go?

Mostly they wanted to see how alert she was at 12 hours post op and remove the IV catheter. The doc was pleased enough that the catheter came out.
I am glad she mostly wants to sleep today. She just had her 3rd tiny meal, a potty trip and is back to laying down. Next pills in one hour.

The others are curious but letting her be.

As long as I can keep her quiet, eating and meds going in things look good for her.
