Pretty good. Working. Can't wait until my mom takes the boys. Thing 2 has been super needy. We're going to be in for it for the next 3 days. My mom is leaving tomorrow morning to go to Delaware for a funeral and she won't be back until Friday. I REALLY miss her help when I don't have it.

I understand what your saying, before we moved to Tennessee I was always at our daughters house. I loved helping out and I truly miss it . I love Tennessee, but wish my kids were closer.

We moved to my parents' property in WV before they did. They "gave" us one parcel of the property for us to build our house. So they are just 100 yards down the lane. It's really convenient.

We had hopes of a similar arrangement when we bought this place, and we did have our son's family here, but they needed to be closer to Nashville for our grandson. Our daughter is more of a beach bum and all the sounds of nature bother her

Sorry, don’t mean to laugh, it just sounds funny. I would say I’ve never heard of that but I strongly suspect both hubs and the kid feel the same way.

I hear you we used to live in a neighborhood near College Park MD, Inside the DC beltway before we moved out here. I'm SO glad we haven't been living there for the past 8 months.
