Official Squatch Watchers

I just washed pots so hubby can cook the ginormous ham for supper. Just emptied the big pot for chickens treat of chicken noodle soup with pumpkin this morning. They got hot soup for lunch. I have been eating nuts and chocolates. Too darned yummy!

Merry Christmas all and thanks to whoever originally posted this idea. I made it for my chickens yesterday and took it out to them this morning. They are loving itView attachment 1218133 View attachment 1218134

That's beautiful!!! I was the one who posted it (it actually came from Backyard Poultry magazine). My first one didn't come out nearly as nice as yours, I think I slopped the seed mix on top of the cranberries too fast. I actually made the second one today when we had the power outtage, so hopefully that one will be prettier!

My chickens ate the HELL out of it. In like a week. And that is alot of stuff in it. For mine, I used scratch corn, BOSS, peanuts, a little bit of flaxseed, cranberries mixed in the whole mixture (cuz they LOVE cranberries, OMG) and something else I think that I can't remember.

It is so funny giving them smooshed cranberries! They play Keep Away and peck my hand like crazy and make all kinds of noise. So fun. :)

I used scratch, BOSS, pecan pieces, raisins, cranberries and coconut oil.

New layers RJ?

Might have to keep them in til 1 so most have laid before going out.
I had one that chose the dusting area. I knew who it was and due to her deformity I cut her slack and set a nest box near the dusting spot.
She is as crossbeak and her poor face looks mushed. She can stay so long as she can eat and lay.
She finally started laying in the proper box by the way.

Sounds like you have a trend going on there. "RJ's where every day is an egg hunt."
:barnie

How are the piggies doing? I like Bacon.
