Do you own the tank or rent it? Contracted to get it only from them?

I think it is a bunch of tater to tell you to call back if you run out. Do they have an up charge for "emergency" deliveries??
 
Yeah, that's what got me worried my heat is propane. I've got electric too but its old and dosent do much of anything when its so cold. I'm guessing the lady i talked to was having a tater day, it sure sounded like it.

I rent the tank and I'm completely paid up i did that before i called because i know they can be taters about balances. I've got a plan though, i own a 100 gallon tank so if i run out I'll take that one to the Texaco and get it filled. I don't know if they charge for emergency delivery, but I've got a sneaking suspicion that they do.

between the cold and the flu lots of things are emergency only... been waiting for feed to be milled since the middle of DEC

Many moons ago (I will try to keep it short)
Bought a house in sticks... Had propane tank.... Put filling it in the contract to buy house....forward to after move in. Tank was leaking propane from top under the cover... I called company because one it was leaking, two the cover had a padlock on it and three it was coming in the house. They claimed they never use locks. Fire department would not go near it cause they did not want to die......um OK what about me and my kids??? Forward 3 weeks of trying to get a locksmith, emergency person, propane company worker etc. out there. Finally had etateringnuff!! Went into propane office since I saw it was busy and raised holy taters. They had a driver follow me home. AMAZINGLY he had a huge ring of keys and the first one he tried opened it.
:mad: :rant:mad:. I don't trust people to do the right thing.
Side note my son was a severe asthmatic and we had an oxygen machine in the tatering house for taters sake!!

They also did charge for emergency deliveries.
