For those of you who are wondering at my state of shock(which would be everyone in the world except my 12 year old brother), my brother just showed me the version of let it go where every noun is replaced by harry potter.

Well, when you think about it...we do have population control. War, and famine. Not a fun way to go. And the black plague did a good job mopping up Europe back in the day. Poor people!

I was going to recommend you watch that! Great movie.

I think genetically modifying humans to stop horrible/debilitating disease could be useful. The problem is it wouldn’t stop there.
I think it would start with good intentions but turn into an excuse to make super humans.

So I put a lamp up....
About 5’ from the floor. It will be on for 30 min then off for 30 min. While I was out there it brought the temp up from 14* to 16*. Hopefully the on and off will rise the temp a little more but not too much.

I am against GMO's
we do not know enough about what all the genes do or don't do... take away a bad genetic disease and something worse could be unrestricted or show up.

My favorite Silkie is acting weird. She is just standing around and didn’t eat out of my hand just now and she is always the first. Her crop is empty and she maybe feels thin. She is not herself.
Question: Let her be with the others tonight OR bring her inside?

I would probably bring her inside so I could keep an eye on her and check for other symptoms (and feed her egg and salmon of course RJ)

So now I’m worried about the bulb I have! I used it in the house to brood chicks. It was on 24hrs a day with no problem.
Could it be Teflon coated and the chicks would have been ok?
At 30 min at a time if it’s teflon coated will it affect the chickens in the coop?

Of course I don’t still have the box.
