Official Squatch Watchers

Hi, Squatches! I'm back. Have a lot of catching up to do.

Been a rough week for me, but I'm getting better. Thank you all for your kind words about my little Mini. That was the worst experience ever. I guess I am a big wuss, but I don't know that I can ever do that again.

Anyway, gonna see what y'all been up to this AM....:caf

Hey, I do have some good news! I got my very first green egg from my Favaucana Blueberry today!! It's so pretty!

Hi there happy you're on the mend. Congrats on you're new edition :hugs

Smuvs said to blog about it. So I did. Cuz writing is the one thing that makes me feel better, at least a little bit. And thank you, dear Smuvs, for being there for me. You are a good friend, the best (you all are, really). You are in my story, too (with a different name).

So there it is, if you care to read. Again, thank you guys~

XO, Cindi

I have only cull obnoxious teenagers.. I have too many pullets and was planning on culling the labor day CX mix girls... but they looked so small and vulnerable hiding in the corner wondering what happened to their brothers:hitOh course today they aren't scared and look big enough to eat:he

I went and read it PBM. :hugs
PTSD sounds right. :hugs:hit

Banty, you have to copy paste or type in what's in her SIG line.
She is a good writer. I personally have been stalking her blog. Like a creepy creeper.

Wow, you read fast, 21! :)

Thank you for being my stalker, I'm honored!

I left out the more gory, clinical stuff, cuz...well, it wasn't really necessary, and it hurts to think about (and I keep thinking about it anyway, over and over). Thank you, Banty Chooks, for posting the links to humane euthanasia for chickens, and anyone else who did. I don't know personally if i can ever do that again.

And to be honest, that's got me in a bit of a panic. Because I know the day that comes when I have another really sick chook that needs to be put down will be the middle of the night on a Sunday when there are no vets around. And I know that culling them is part of it, as well.

I found it. Beautifully written. :hugs

Hm... let me get you another link on using ether to euthanize. It works on adult birds and is gentle on the bird and the human. Might be a good thing for if you have no other options.
