Good day everyone!
Thanks to DH, I did manage to sleep pretty well. The Milk Drinker woke up once in the middle of the night but woke up completely at 6:30. I tried until 7 to get him back to sleep, but he was awake so I asked DH to take him. I was able to sleep until 8:30. YAY!
I'm getting excited as well. I plan to hatch as many eggs from my Cornish as I can this year. I want to get a breeding program going. But they stopped laying right before Christmas and haven't restarted yet. I plan on hatching a BUNCH this year. I want to hatch some buff crosses (I'm thinking Cochin/Buff would be a good, broody cross) and I want to put my Cornish roo over some of my Delawares to see what I get for meat birds. I also want to do some Delaware/New Hampshire crosses (both ways). I also want to start a breeding program for blue/black/splash Cochins and breed for size and broodiness. I'm going to use Molasses as my starting male and the Blue females I'm getting as the foundation generation.
I'm getting the Dominiques so I can make BSLs with them.
I was considering breeding Amerucanas as well, but I have WAY too many breeds going as is and I just want them for the color. Therefore, EEs are good enough for me. I'll just order a few any time I get new chicks from a hatchery. Besides, if I had to add another breed, I want to add LF White Cornish.
I'm happy getting my caffeine fix from unsweetened tea. Yay! No calories!

@Redhead Rae I got excited just reading your order form. i wish I was getting more chicks this year!
Not happening since we are still operating under the radar.
Are you planning on hatching your own in the future? I see you're getting boys and girls.
With all those buffs you'll certainly get a broody one or two.

I tried to acquire the taste for coffee in college, even with 1 oz of normal coffee to 19 oz of hot chocolate with extra cream and sugar wasn't palatable to me.I am pretty safe. Had one sip when i was maybe 8 years old.![]()
