Official Squatch Watchers

Hello everyone!

DH, the Milk Drinker and I are on our way to pick up some chickens from @WVduckchick!

So excited. The Milk Drinker is sleeping. Hopefully he sleeps until we arrive.
Be sure to give her a big tight hug from me!!!

We are on our way home with 3 goregous girls (one of them appears to be going broody:yesss:). It was fun meeting up @WVduckchick. Thank you for the girls! I loved looking at your tiny chickens and Sarah’s sweet little babies. So tiny!

Oh and I think I have another egg. One of the girls started singing her egg song when we stopped to gas up for the drive home.

I’ll post pictures later!

OMG the cuteness!!!!!!!!!!! :love:love:love:love:love:love

Are those Sara's Seramas?

They are! Rae got to see them. I think she was surprised how tiny they are. :D
Sara was even friendly and didn't try to nip her.

Well we did snatch her out of the nest box.

Was great meeting you, the DH and little MD. He is sooooo cute!

All the gals can be jealous now, I got to hold and snuggle him, and he made all the animal sounds for me! Woof, woof. Quack, quack! Meow!! :love :love

Seeing your mamma hens with babies makes me want to let my Svart cross try to hatch. I swear she was thinking about going broody again. (So far not :fl) Do you think once they hatch they go broody more? I can’t deal with boys! I’m too soft to cull and finding homes is near impossible.

I think ones that are prone to brood seem to want to do it more often. I have a few that barely kick their young ones out, lay a few eggs themselves and are ready to brood again. Others just seem to want one clutch a year.

I usually sell the ones I hatch inside, and pick my keeper from the ones that broodies raise.
