The first cat that was mine was destined to be. His cage mate drew my attention the night before. When we called the next day we were told he had been adopted. I didn't believe it because I was there right before close when I saw him. I thought someone was being lazy and just didn't want to go look. So we drove up and low and behold he was gone.
But, my sweet boy was still there. Sleeping in the litter box he was so scared. When they asked if I wanted to hold him I agreed and he wrapped his arms around my neck. I took him home immediately. He was my baby for 14 years. I couldn't have asked for a better companion.
Now my last 2 literally walked up to the house and made themselves at home. So I guess it works both ways. LOL
