Official Squatch Watchers

I like the dark blue, is that the original color?

Yes the blue is the original color. Our recycle cart (which is HUGE by the way) is just a tiny bit darker. That blue was supposed to be a purple.
It bugs the daylights out of me.
So the original plan was purple. :p
I have a few of the tiny samples that are assorted colors. I mixed some to get the purple on top of the bench.
I will adjust it a bit more to get a better purple.
The really dark purple matches my iris though.

Sam that was priceless!

Unless you have experienced help, I would start with one bird and work your way up. I can do 3 on a good day. If the Milk Drinker were older and I had more competent help I might be able to do more in a day. My first rooster took me about 1 hour to eviscerate and I botched the first cut for bleeding the bird out (we use a killing cone). I don't think my nerves could have handled doing a second bird on the same day.
++

Processing can be challenging. I can do 300 birds per day and then do cut ups every 3 minutes..But in the end i'm exhausted...
I';m still 240 messages behind. trying to catch up.

You know the eggs I got from @WVduckchick with the chocolates I bought from her? Here are the BC/Chocolate Orp babies I hatched back in March. There are 12 of them. I originally had 13, but one passed away after 4-5 weeks.

I got lucky in the gender department and have 5 cockerels and 7 pullets.
I think this cockerel would be considered a dark blue.

Here is a normal blue.

I got 2 Splash Roosters. I think their mother was the Mauve hen I didn't get. This one is the biggest of the bunch.
img_7859-jpg.1405969

This guy is the the next to smallest, except for.....
img_7870-jpg.1405976

Tiny. He's half the size of the small splash above. He's feisty enough for a bird 10x his size.

I think this girl is technically a splash, but she doesn't haven any spotting in her feathers. She is absolutely beautiful.
img_7836-jpg.1405964

The two girls below are definitely splash.

img_7863-jpg.1405972

This girl is the only black besides Tiny.
img_7845-jpg.1405967

And I have 3 blues.

Awesome! :love

I love all the tales from the coops. All the baby birds are so freaking cute!

I have a small issue......
My 7 year old bantam cochin is being very bad.
She is yanking feathers from my other birds.

My poor giant blue cochin is looking more like a naked neck, my Barnavelder is being plucked on her back as is my other giant blue.
:(
I saw her pulling feathers.

She may have to live alone in my broody coop. :(:(
