Official Squatch Watchers

I liked all your paint colors.

Thanks! I will certainly post things as I get them done. Trying to stay motivated, determined, and energized when it's hot is hard to do. Posting helps me keep the get it done attitude.

Morning all :frow

For all who had a tough week :hugs:hugs:hugs

Smuvs, glad you had a good vacation, if you want a good instructional vid on processing I can point it out to you... I would also suggest getting a lung rake, it's a huge pain to clean but works great at cleaning out the carcass once you get the hang of it.

When we process, there are four of us. I do evisceration... DS does kill, scald & pluck. DW and DIL do QA and chilling. We keep them on ice for at least 24 hours to let riggor pass and then finish up and package.

Oh, and new babies went to the brooder last night and I did my first assisted hatch for three that are still in the bator.

Hey those are my chicks give them back

Good morning Squatchers! It's another rainy day in NJ....hubby put a tin roof on the runs last week and it really seems to be keeping the muck and yuk factor down.

Negan (my little cocky Serama cockerel) started crowing! A Serama crow is really pathetic sounding and cute...I'm gonna have to get DH to make a video. It's like a soft little "ah ah AH!" squeak. :) @WVduckchick, that's pretty much as good as it gets, right? :)

They're so cute! :love

When I saw the phrase "lung rake," however, I went straight to my happy place....!
