@Chickassan Love the foster mom, so cute.

Oh funny story about the Milk Drinker. Yesterday, since I was off work, DH and I caught a matinee movie and got pizza while my parents took the Milk Drinker to the lake. Since we got to the pizza place and ate around 4ish, we decided to order a pizza to bring home for dinner. It was tomato, basil, sausage. Yum! Anyway, I cut up some pieces and gave them to the Milk Drinker. He looked askance at the pizza, picked off the chiffonade basil, held it out to me and said "All done, grass!" :lau:gig:lau:gig

Then i cut and painted the boards for the front wall. Naturally it is now raining AGAIN!

At least this year we don't have ash falling and the constant smell of a wood fire, just the irritating haze from the fires. Last year we had weeks where the was ash falling and you had to wash it off the cars, plus it smelled like a campfire all the time. The closest major fire from us is a couple hours away in the mountains. Most of this smoke is coming from our neighborly B. C. Canadians, whereas last year was Oregon and the mountains in Washington. That makes a big difference in particle sizes, so even though last year seemed worse, it wasn't as unhealthy as this year. The smoke doesn't seem to be causing as many problems as predicted, but I still don't want to be out in it if I don't have to be.
