Does anyone have a nice chewy focaccia recipe they could share?
Here's a better picture of the new roo gate!

Lafayette took his first dirt bath (in about 3 or 4 weeks) today! and ate heartily of leftover corn, of which my inlaws ate none of, along with just about everything else I made!
Great picture! So glad Lafayette is getting stronger every day!

I gave him a good helping a straight Nutri Drench this morning.View attachment 1517186
What looks like a full crop on his left is actually his neck. It's bent at a sorta S curve and a little crooked. He can move his head around but he seems to leave his neck in that position. His left leg seems a little weak to me too. When I first picked him up it dangled. I thought it might be dislocated.
I'd like to treat him but I had no plans on keeping him. If I didn't give him away someone was going to raise him to butcher.... I feel bad but if that's the outcome is it worth it? :hit
Gosh this is a terrible dilemma Nunny.
Wry neck needs E and selenium, but the treatment can take weeks -if it works-and the care is intensive to get them to eat and drink if it worsens before it gets better.
I don’t know if it’s worth it if you aren’t planning on keeping him.

I did talk with the person who was going to take boys to raise and eat if I didn't find them home. They said the same. I hate this part of chicken keeping!:hit

You looking for savory or sweet or both?

FNF there's a featured article on wry neck I haven't had a chance to read it yet, but the author is usually very thorough....

I had some this weekend at a restaurant
There were fifty things wrong with that meal but man I could’ve eaten a car load of that bread.
It only had sesame seeds on top which is unusual and had lots of holes in it too , also unusual, which makes me suspect the dough might have been made with a sponge starter...? It didn’t have an of the characteristic tang of a sourdough starter... :barnie
oooooh! It was so so good.

They wallpapered over it! That's the backing. It's come off fairly clean in other rooms so I'm hopeful I'll get that off.

Pretty cool! I wanna see what’s under the backing!
Spray that paper backing with warm soapy water and let it sit for just a few minutes. It will drag off with a spatula!

Ok... Page seven of the first doc and read the whole other doc. It's good reading regardless.

But the whole thing is a good read... This is where I went when I couldn't bake a loaf of bread. Still searching for a good whole (freshly ground) wheat recipe for a moist crumb and nice crust...

ETA: I don't want to be dependent on bakers flour it is a PITA to make.
