I’m well stocked I think.
Only thing I’m regretting is that we are NOT boarded up.

It doesn’t matter now because plywood is in short supply, but I’ve been strongly divided on this with DH since this storm was confirmed as a problem for us.
His work has been grueling the past week -I get that.
And he’ll have to hit the ground running as soon as the storm passes because of his field.
I totally get that he felt that he couldn’t/didn’t want to do it but I wanted to hire someone to come do it fast and do it right. When I gave DH a ballpark figure his eyes bugged out just like our emoji here.
What can I say. He’s cheap.

Yeah i got stung by this insect that looks like a combo wasp and bee! Took a Benadryl, iced it for an hour while i worked. All swollen. So fun!

Did you get a picture of the offender? Knowing what it is will help with what to use to lessen the poison effects.
Some need vinegar others need baking soda.
Also, heat over ice. It will increase blood flow and help the poison dissipate faster.
 
I think i'm about as set as I can be. Going to try to do a grocery run today but if I don't get to iv'e got enough to make due. Chickens and kitty have plenty of food. I spray foamed the rest of the coop openings so water dosen't blow in. Got tons of batteries and such things candles etc. So should be good.:)

First night loose in the coop went really well. I did almost have a fit though lol! I opened the older hens side and saw a huge pile of feathers but then I saw they were blue. Susan is my only blue girl and last night she just molted like crazy. She molted hard last year, looks like the same this year.:)

Btw, those are last year naked Susan, this year naked Susan isn't quite that bad yet but she's well on her way. Poor thing, she always looks embarassed this time of year. Negan is down to one tail feather. Marlene is forever molting. Tucks, Lulu and Hobo are not bad but Hobo molted in Febuary for whatever reason. Of course Beavis is young and perfect...getting her butt kicked daily too because of it lol!:lau
