Watermelon is a great choice. A bunch of my teni boppers found their way into the pig pen and decided the grapefruit hulls I gave the pigs was a perfect treat... (yea I got the memo, don't feed citrus to chickens.) guess the pigs don't get anymore citrus.![]()
I have amoment here.
Seriously.
Hubby is on call this weekend. He got a pizza, ate 1/4 of it and left it in the box on the stove.
Guess what happened.
Nope not a fire.
Nope it didn't dry out.
Yup the big ole dog ate 3/4 of a pizza in under 2 minutes.
That'll learn me not to go to the restroom.......ever!

Indeed.
I'd be watching for explosive poop.

Thank you Anansi. You always have such good info.Usually you need an rx for it. If you have a good, trusting vet, they may give you the baytril if you know how to dose it. We split the tablets for our rats, but other meds require mixing, and we calculate doses and request the meds from our vet and mix at home. We have a really good vet who trusts our experience with the animals and is willing to prescribe based on that. There again, we've been taking our animals to him for about 12 years, so that makes a difference.
So I’m wondering if that tissue outside the shell is “chalazae” from the magnum. If both the yolk and whatever that glob was were in the magnum together I would think they would be connected.
