Good morning guys! :frow

I have another job interview today. I hate them!!!! They're so stressful and nerve-wracking. I love working, just can't stand the whole interview process..."What places you ahead of all the other applicants?" (well, let's see, because I am an awesome nurse with great emergency skills and a taterload of experience?!) "Tell us about yourself?" (well, I have 19 chickens, am very compassionate, and if you hire me you will always get free eggs?! )

Seriously, these always make me feel like puking, and y'all know I don't puke! :sick

Just the whole thing...suiting up, trying to make myself sound like the perfect candidate for the job while not BSing too much, being myself but not too much of myself, trying to impress while being real and honest....all that crap...and they probably have their mind made up twenty seconds after you walk in the room.

I know. I sound like I have a crappy attitude. I don't, really. It's just that I've interviewed for a bunch of jobs since February, thought I aced the interviews, and never got a callback for Phase 2.

What will be will be, right? Just that, I need to start earning some coin, ya know?

Here's hoping.:fl

ETA: If I don't get it it's really not that big of a deal, as a bunch of other jobs (all fairly local) recently opened up, and I am applying to all of them. Usually with the school systems if I apply I get an interview It's just--the interview process. Ugh.

Gurtrude is still sporting glittery red toenails a month after painting them.

Lol, you kill me! I read this to my husband, and he was like. "How does she not peck her own feet? They love the color red!"

Hahaha, I trained him well. And how DO they not peck at their glittery, red-berry looking toes????

At least you found them before your chickens did. I had to chase my bird-brained chicken around b/c she wouldn't give up her dead bird. Thankfully there was only one.

Awwwww <3

That's almost like having an extra foot! Are we going to start breeding for extra toes now?
I googled chickens with extra toes and saw some crazy pictures. A person w/ an extra finger is not a chicken with an extra toe. Maybe start a thread and ask people to post their pics to feed your new fetish.

How do the other birds not try to eat her toes? I painted my fingernails and they watched my hands like I was a magician.

OK (I really should be preparing for my interview and not BYCing!)

I just googled "extra toes onchickenss" and this was my first hit. Does this mean bearded Silkies only have four toes???!! What?!

No bird has more than four toes except chickens of the Dorking, Faverolle, Houden, Sultan, and Non-bearded Silkie Bantams, all of which have five toes. In these breeds the extra toe arises above the base of the hallux and projects upward, never touching the ground.
