It got down to 34 last night and we had a hard frost. The piggies didn’t want to come out until about 9 am even though it was light at 6:30. They are now happily eating clover and exploring their pen. They are 2.5 months old and really tiny.

The hog panels seem to be working fine for now. I don’t know how I would get a hot wire over there. We’ll be keeping an eye on them for now.

I used a solar fence charger for my pigs. Worked well.

I really need to bite the bullet and get a few good ones if I want solar. However, next year we will have our animals on the same side of the road as our house which will allow us to buy a more powerful plug in.

I am too. We got the deed for the land yesterday. Tomorrow we are going to go talk to the sales man and talk to him about what the next steps would be and put in several loan applications for the entire project. Fortunately, we can use the land for the down payment.

I’m excited about the baby too, but at the moment I just want the first trimester to be over. I’m 9 weeks today. Baby is the size of a grape.

I had a busy day again. Went and picked up a small coop. The one the D'Uccles were in at their old house.
Then I went to my old house and took apart the carport frame and net to bring to the new house.

Even got it set up. The net is a tangled mess. I don't know you are ever supposed to gather it back up.

Someone decided they are a big girl now.

I thought she way laying because I've been getting 2 cream eggs.

Nope! It was her first egg today! Blue green!!!!
