Good morning, sweet Squatchie friends! :caf Have a nice Sunday and stay warm!

This is beyond ridiculous, but I'm getting Flower's picture taken with Santa today, lol (and I am the one who HATES Christmas, with a passion). My sis is taking her human baby to get pics (Santa is actually a vet who used to be her old boss, and vets my dogs when there's stuff I can't do, like xrays and labs) and he's right down the road, so I'm gonna meet her there with my chicken, lol.

Pics to follow! :lau
I had my dogs pictures taken on Santas lap. They said the dogs were more well behaved than most kids they had, and the dogs didn't pee on Santa!

The guys are here finishing the roof on my new run. I guess when you're young you can do stuff like this. I hate heights and this makes me nervous just looking at it.

Hi guys!

I’m on the way back home from visiting family in PA. We had fun but are ready to be home. I’ll be taking chickens to slaughter tomorrow. So that will be fun.

Question:

Does anyone here have any experiences they’d like to share about purchasing a “mattress in a box”?

I’m looking for brand?
How hot is it? Etc.

In desperate need of a new mattress and don’t want to deal with the nonsense of dealing with the salespeople.
(Too much like used car slimeballs)

We have two IKEA latex mattresses. One is the man made latex and their more expensive natural latex mattress. The natural latex is 2.5x as much. It is more comfortable but it is heavy and doesn’t squish down. The man made latex does come in a compact roll and doesn’t smell at all. It is very comfortable. The one thing I like about IKEA is that you can try out the mattresses at the store before you buy.

The closest Ikea is more than 5 hrs from me.

PBM!! That is hilarious and awesome!!
I look forward to pics.
You need some little elf hats for the birds.
I know Stacey knows how to put them together.
;)

OMG, I can't wait to get the pics, they should be emailed this week!

I didn't realize Flower was molting. Holy crapballz, there were feathers EVERYWHERE!!!!! She was so good, both in the car and at the vets. I got lotsa pics, that is gonna be my holiday card this year!

(And yes Cappy, she was way better than my dogs, lol).

They were cracking up--she was their first "Chicken With Santa." I was getting some weird looks from some of the people with dogs and cats there....

Oldies but goodies! Ta-daaa!
:gig
I did the yard check while tending birds. We came through ok. Nothing I cannot fix in ten minutes.

The wind had to be hitting 80 mph to pop the clips off the hoop run. The plastic is all ok which was a surprise.
