At least the bird had the decency to kinda look up in this one.

That is very clearly a chicken coop. I saw a pink one the other day that would be a perfect coop for a small flock, but it wouldn't come with all the built in air vents that mine has from all the gaps in the corners. LOL

That's so great to hear! What happened w/ the ortho, or haven't you seen them yet?

Well that sucks. Odd that he left the lungs and kidneys. I've never done it, so are they in some weird place that's hard to get to or something? At least you got these ones done and you do have someone who can do the majority of it if you need it done and can't find someone else. If you do use him again, maybe you need to tell him to remove the lungs and kidneys.

Your birds are absolutely beautiful!

I think I missed something. What are you building?

I love Dominos! We have 4 pizza places here (it was 5!) in the world's smallest town (not including 'real' restaurants who have pizza on the menu too... Dominos is the only one that I don't die after I eat there. 2 of them are super greasy and I don't go to the other one b/c the people were jerks the last time I went. I was in line behind a guy w/ my kids and another guy came in and got in line behind me. Guy in front of me leaves and the pizza guy walks away. Then he comes back w/ the order for the guy behind me. Odd, but maybe he'd paid already and had forgotten something. Nope. It was very rude and I've not gone back since. I've been told that someone else bought the place, but I've not gone back. My daughter's friend's family owns Dominos so we usually go there. They're super nice to their customers.

We went through that w/ a friend who has a wheat allergy b/c she was upset that she can't have pizza from the shops anymore. All the places have the same disclaimer b/c they use the same pans, oven, counter, etc. It's a use at your own risk thing. It appeases all the ppl who do the gluten free diet but don't have the medical need to avoid gluten. Dominos actually says that their gluten free crust is pre-made. You could always call a local store and see if they are individually packaged. If they are, you could probably just buy one and make your own pizza at home.. but if that's the case you may already have a gf dough you use. I know my friend makes pizza, but I have no idea what she uses for the crust.

Was it from the romaine lettuce? Donuts wouldn't do that to us. Veggies are trying to kill us all! Hope you feel better.
I go to Ortho tomorrow, and Sam is building a brick oven outside.

It is cool to be able to get the lungs out all in one piece!

I get them with my fingers

I love getting them out in one piece. I've found a good way to do it is to run my fingers along the ribs. However, thinking about doing that right now makes me feel sick. Our outdoor cat LOVES fresh chicken lungs.

I know lol! For the most part everybody does here. The littles get pecked if they're in the way but that is normal. Hobo is top dog though, she doesn't get along with anyone she doesn't have to. I remember I felt bad when I got her because she was always alone.:gig
And now you know why she was always alone. IDK who's at the top in my flock, but there's def a fight for the bottom. Olive and Clover (the lav) sleep on the poop board UNDER other chickens on the roost and get pooped on. I've seen them both on the roost so IDK why they don't sleep where they don't get pooped on. I think next year I need to add to the poop board out so I can get another set of roosts in there so they will stop getting pooped on.

I think ice cream lasts forever in a freezer but, probably has a lot of ice crystals in it by now, so will be very grainy
I've got a few cartons in there that are questionable at this point. I've not been brave enough to clean it out. I need to go through my pantry though. I've got a bunch of old stuff that's probably unsafe to eat at this point. I'm pretty sure I have a box of chicken rice from when I moved in.

when I started raising chickens for food I figured I should make room in the deep freezer.
Some of the interesting things i found:
A stillborn hedge hog from the 1980's
several small birds that had hit the window and I was going to try and ID... before the internet
a fawn hide and front hooves from the 1980's and 90's
An eel I had caught back in 1970's

Mom always said to keep the freezer full so it used less electricity :gigI use frozen gallon jugs now

I’m too old to be pregnant and just the words made me feel sick. Especially about the cat!
Bleh!

Same for making refrigerators more efficient. I have filled gal. bottles of water in there for years. Just to round shelves off.

Can I just use veggies I grow and maybe buy half a steer instead?

Not sure hubby would like finding a random eel....:hmm

This is probably why I don't have a poop board, i'd be de-pooping Tucks every morning she's lower than the littles.I definitly understand why Hobo wasn't part of the group for a long time. I kind of feel dumb thinking the other ones were being the buttholes.:)
