The thing that gets me is that she is ranting about the cold water dip breaking method. And that isn't at ALL what we were advocating for.

Hens are all fed and checked over for frost bite.

I am happy to report no hens have any sign of frostbite.

We are to be warming up with a Saturday high near 60°.

Here's pics of my little cockerel boy, "Skinny Pete" (formerly known as "Six" or "Freakfoot." Isn't he cute?! )

I'm keeping him. He's so sweet, is a little snuggler. I'm posting two of his hatchmate cockerels on the NJ board today. A little too much testosterone in my flock. I think 3 little boys out of 17 is plenty.

Happy new year! Running late, not my fault hubs had rocks in his butt and I pretty much had to push him out the door!
Returned the foster fish to his parents last night and was rewarded with a manatee coffee mug. Sweet right? I'm absolute hades on coffee mugs so the more the merrier. Going to miss the fish though, he was pretty relaxing to watch.
Come to the conclusion i'm just Hobo's whipping post forever and ever. First thing, off the roost on my shoulder and beak in the coffee. She's so mean! I could her her little smacking like she was savoring the stuff. Got drips on my housecoat from her wattles, i'm so abused!

Have any of you ever bought chicks from My Pet Chicken? If so, how was your experience?

Got unbaked chicks from there. Negan, Lulu and Tucks are MPC eggs.
Got to agree with everybody else, super nice even called to see if the eggs arrived intact which was unexpected since the order was tiny.
They hatched to be pretty birds, and healthy.
