That isn't very bad, i'd do it once a day the biggest thing is trying to keep it clean as possible.
Did the dog get secured?
They are never secured. Ever. They are two nasty tempered little French bulldogs and another little mix that roam all over the neighborhood. The owner claims he has tried to fix his fence but that the dogs somehow keep “escaping” In the past our fence has kept them out of our property but they broke in through a weak spot today. DH is repairing and reinforcing it tonight.

agree with the once a day. If it's warm enough to still have flies where you live, I would keep her inside so she doesn't get fly strike.
Thanks diva. We shouldn’t have flies this time of year and I don’t think I have seen any lately but the weather has been really squirrelly lately.....I will keep a close eye on her.

Thanks everyone. After about 45 minutes or so she started acting more like herself. Ate some food, pooped, and started inspecting the bathroom for roosting spots. Found her settling in on top of the toilet. So since it seems like she is over the shock, I will put her back with the flock. The weather is very mild tonight so that helps.

I really hope the little guy comes home :(
Oh I hope he does too.

Oh I hope he does too.
We drove all over the neighborhood looking. We didn’t find him, but we also didn’t find any evidence of his demise. No piles of feathers or anything. It is night now so he won’t be home today but maybe tomorrow. Azygous had her two roosters comeback a full day later so that gives me hope.

He is up in a tree some where
Prayers for a safe return

Chook, I think he'll be home soon, as well. If there's no evidence of him being injured or his demise, he more than likely made it to a safe place, and is hunkered down till daylight comes back around. One way to get him home is if they all come running when they hear a specific nose that alerts them to treats. Walk around where you think he might be, making that noise every so often and see if he comes to it.

I hope your hen heals up quickly, with no complications.
