Official Squatch Watchers

Morning everyone.

Cool pics of the baby emu on that thread.

I am making a big pot of veggie beef soup today. It already smells amazing in here.

Our forecast is for warming temps for the coming week. I better transplant my zinnia starts.....they are getting leggy. :hmm

I think I need to wait 2 more weeks for tomato seeding in my area.
Our last frost is around the first week of May usually.

I may plant my pepper seeds this week though.

@apryl29 The self evaluation is confidential. Its between you and HR. So if you say "my goal is to procure new equipment" and they ask how you say "so and so needs to order it. Say you are worried your job is on the line because without said upgrades in equipment you can't do your job properly.

:frowMorning everybody
@apryl29 my hats off to you.
I would be incapable of not writing that and subsequently getting fired.

@Redhead Rae i hope you CONTINUE to take it easy on yourself today. Please hydrate! I know you know this but I’m SAYING IT ANYWAY, dehydration in pregnancy is dangerous!

@Chickassan , there’s a hot baked potato method of spur removal too, I’ve seen YouTube videos.
I think it sort of steams them off in a couple of minutes.
Hi Stacey.....I was actually going to ask about the hot potato method. When I googled spur removal that was the first video that popped up. I wonder if it works best when you add butter and sour cream. :lau

I have to share this pic that DH just sent me. I'm at work and he checks on the chickens and bun buns when he goes home for lunch. ( I work out of town and he works 5 minutes from home....lucky guy). If you look closely you can see Magnus, one of my Serama roosters on a stump and all the other Seramas are gathered around looking at him. I think its hysterical....looks like hes giving a speech up on his pulpit. And FYI....that is the bunny hutch they are all gathered in and around. No idea where the bunnies are. Silly silly chickens!

Unfortunately here we give our self evaluations to our managers, then they go over them w/ HR and the director and then they come back after they've all discussed them together and then my boss gives me my evaluation. I worded everything so it's that I'm waiting for her to meet any of my goals. So if they aren't met next year it's b/c of her. They always have to find something that you can improve upon. Mine is always communication & not overstepping my job's boundaries b/c my boss doesn't do her job and I end up doing stuff that she should be doing. Since my boss either forgets about stuff, or just never does it people come directly to me to fix things instead of going through here. She does this thing where even though she knows I know the solution, she'll send my co-worker out to do something and he usually ends up calling me for help, or I get sent anyway. It's fun like that here.
I have complete job security. Nothing short of murder or death would get them to replace me. I've single handedly set up every single computer, server & laptop in the entire system. I'm the only person who knows how to do a bunch of things. If I died they'd be ok for a little while, but there's only one other person who could help them and he's the guy who taught me most of what I know. I just decided to take off all of spring break with my kids... I need some times away from here. It's a month away, but I might be able to make it. I have a bunch of scrapbooking and stuff I want to work on. I'll order our couch to come that week too. I can do a big clean up of the apartment & maybe even clean out the chicken coop if it's finally nice out. Don't tell anyone. I don't want anyone asking me to do carp for them.
