I have a mix of the cemani and she's beautiful. She has brown eyes and has some redness to her wattles, but other than that she is black w/ iridescent green on her body feathers. I thought they looked freaky too, but she's beautiful. She was a bonus chicken the lady threw in w/ my orps (I think she knew she was giving me 2 boys and wanted to round it out, not that it matters to me).

I like the Cermani too.......I almost got one but ended getting a Svart Hona as they are a little calmer.
 
The chickens just like to mess with me! I have been getting a couple less eggs every day, no big deal I know a day off happens.
Well the ones i'd given a pass to had been laying in a nest they never use. I had eight eggs in there!
I would have taken longer to catch on but the blue layer was one that was missing. I hadn't gotten a blue egg in three days.:caf

Mine slack off too. Then when the sun returns it triggers an abundance for a few days.
