If I dropped her i'd sting her belly she's that flat. The only way I see legs is picking her up, the second they touch floor they're gone.
Her and Rene neither one pull straw and stuff underneath when they flatten, instead they throw stuff on their backs like they just laid.
I'm betting nobody is surprised.:p

Not surprised. :lau

Ok I will quit looking at them itty bitty wingies.

I think birds are pretty much people who just have free rule to bite if they feel like it and poop where they want.
I am also convinced some are just either naturally nice or the devil in bird form. I have bad luck and the worst picking skills in the universe so i'll probably never have a parrot or seriously long lived bird.
If I could have the bird do the picking it would be better, it would probably outlive me it is really more picking me out as a pet.:D
Some bird rescues in AZ use that system, you go there and meet the birds, and see if one chooses you. Not kidding! When I went to meet Dylan, she stepped right up to me, a stranger she just met. She rarely does that to anyone. If she had bitten me, she would still be on Craig's list! (Of course, I asked her nicely to step up, not just rudely jam my hand up to her like I have seen some do).

It is a good system. The bird is the one that really needs to be totally O.K with everything.
The bird has much more painful ways of expressing displeasure than I do, i'd really want it to be happy.
Lol! No way i'd just jam my hand under a bird, that is rude.:)
EDIT: I wonder if the bird could return you if it isn't satisfied or you have habits it just can't overlook.?

LOL :smackIs what the bird will do!
You can't believe what people do to parrots. They think that they are like the TV birds that perform so well! I keep Dylan in her carrier in public, but there is a guy in our town that carries his Blue and Gold Macaw around the Square in the summer, and people are always going up to him and asking to pet the Macaw! It is not restrained in any way, sitting on his gloved hand or shoulder. I think he is nuts, he says he wants to socialize his bird. A big beak like that Macaw has deserves a lot of respect.

Well it is decided, when hubs goes on vacation i'm stealing his wood for roosts.
He had two 4×4 posts that are the perfect length to go across the coop and they have been abandoned long enough for me to commandeer, sand and paint.
Yes i'm a premeditated post pirate, my fat chickens in progress need roosts.;)
Possession is 9/10's of the law. How is he going to steal a roost out from under a fat biddy?

Is it even possible to socialise a bird? Either they're into a person or not, no way you can just make them like people just in general.
Going to be a tough lesson for macaw man, they can start taking fingers if you get out of line.

I keep my stranger fingers away from his bird! I don't want to bring any strange cooties home to my bird, either. It is like any pet, I guess he wants to show it off.
