One person on a different thread pushed herself into brewery syndrome. Any carbs would cause her to build alcohol in the blood stream. An expert at Mayo clinic told her that she needed to start eating carbs regardless or she would die.
So she would be drunk on a loaf a bread? Can't imagine trying to explain that to the cops. "No sir. I haven't ::hic::: had anything to drink. :::hic::: I swear I ate some bread."

Well crap! Why does it have to be the good stuff? :(

Not everyone develops insulin resistance. I am sure many people can eat a high carb diet with minimal bad side effects.

There are a lot of studies out showing type 2 diabetes is reversible through diet.

Good morning, sunny and 77° so far.
We're supposed to hit low 70's today, but it's supposed to bring thunderstorms with it. At least there will be a pile of worms for the chickens!

Nice! Hopefully the hardware cloth didn't beat you up too bad that stuff is awful to work with.
Not too bad. I had blisters and some scratches. It helped that I'd already lined the run w/ 4x4's when I built it so All I had to do was attach the cloth with screws and washers. The front side will be interesting b/c I need to add some boards for support, but I've needed to do that for a while anyway. Chicken coops are never done, at least the homemade kind.

Nope still bad. And bread and pasta and rice and corn and peas and and and. :hmm it never ends.

I ate a freaking piece of whole grain toast this morning. My glucose jumped 150 on the meter to 378. :(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(

Any bread is now on my never again list. :hit
It is a looooong list unfortunately.
What about cloud bread or the 90 second bread?

All the good stuff either causes cancer, makes you fat, or gets you pregnant.

There have been people who've been arrested for that!

I'm glad it wasn't too rough on you.
I personally hate hardware cloth, I get stuck every time! :hmm

I Know!

I suspect the person had an eating disorder that led to the brewery syndrome. She is doing much better. She only weighed about 75 pounds and was a tall woman.

Cloud bread....:hmm
It seems like a lot of work to cook a few eggs.

Portabella mushrooms make decent replacement buns for burgers. :)

Really this morning I could have put that peanut butter on celery and been much better off.
:he

I got 24 eggs boiled and peeled.
I agree. My youngest made it once, she ate a few pieces and said it wasn't bad, but she'd made wayyyy too much and didn't eat it all. I have a friend who has a wheat allergy so she is always trying to find new and edible ideas for stuff, but she hates mushrooms. I would probably do the mushroom bun thing too! It sounds really good. What about corn tortillas? When my youngest was seeing a nutritionist they suggested using tortillas instead of bread to cut down on carbs. Not sure if corn tortillas would be any safer for you than the wheat ones though.

I'm glad it wasn't too rough on you.

Luckily it was a new roll and I haven't cut it yet. That's the next part and the part I've kinda been avoiding. My biggest struggle was getting the pull ties to go through the hardware cloth and the chicken wire it was covering and then back through to the right side. By the time I was done I was thinking my fingers would stop working altogether.
