CHICKASSAN I give the same advice to anyone going to a shopping mall, or in any crowd. The pick pockets are usually pairs. One will bump you to distract you, and the other will snatch whatever he wanted from you. Too bad there aren't any pocket or purse alarms that will go off if strangers touch them.

It is good advice. We have fairly high rates of theft where I live. They have had to put signs up in all the campus libraries warning people not to take their eyes off of their stuff
