Official Squatch Watchers

Robin is a good big sibling. S(he) is running around showing the new babies where to get food and water.

It's amazing what 8 days does for growth, isn't it?

This a pathetically newbie-ish question but....at what age do y'all think I will be able to spot any oops cockerels in my pullet order? These are all new breeds to me so I don't know how fast they mature. I have bantam brahmas, bantam cochins, and ameraucanas. I will probably need to sell off a few birds at some point since 14 is a lot for my space (and 2 more than I actually ordered). But I want to ID any boys first...

Between 3-6 weeks. Post pics of any you have questions about.

Thanks Rae! They are only 3 weeks now, so I will wait a little while and then get some good pics. I am sure with everyone's help we can figure it out! I am hoping to sell the "extras" off as a group rather than just selling 1 or 2 pullets at a time and then potentially being left with no buyers for the boys.

The easiest will be the cochins. Those are pretty darn clear really young.

Good to know! I will focus on getting them sorted out first. I think the barred are two females and 1 male based on barring and comb size. The gold laced I am less certain about. They all have different patterning from each other. And one is extremely bold and friendly....:hmm
