I ended up rescuing the one chick that had been almost two days trying to hatch. The membrane add dried somewhat and it was too hard for it to tear but it is doing good now!

Unfortunately the seven other eggs did not make it. We had a power outage about 3 days ago and most look like they stopped then. there was one other that was completely ready and the yolk sac completely absorbed but for some reason he was facing backwards in the egg and did not make it.
Grand total 8 with 7 of the MFDs.

I do not know about hatching, it seems pretty high risk with shipped eggs? I am happy to let the pros like @rjohns39 hatch for me and send me happy healthy babies! You have some very nice chicks!:love

Looks like I would have had an excellent hatch if it had not been for the power outage. as far as the one backwards I don't know if there was anything that could have been done on that just a fluke accident there.
I do still have my mystery chick to play around with and see what happens and hopefully I just have one or two roosters out of the bunch. If I can have four to five hens that's really what I was looking for.

A big power outage seems to have cost me some ducklings I had ordered from Sandhill Preservation. It is an act of God, nothing you can do about it.

Well come to find out there are two versions of HiChew, Japanese and U.S.A and let me tell you right now ours is freakin awful.
I haven't found one flavor that is passable, the worst is grape and pineapple.
Pineapple smells like cat pee and grape like armpits!

Me, too. A lot of people in my family are like that. I just don’t understand that way of reasoning. It’s just sad.
 
Iv'e named one of these girls D.D it stands for Debbie Dumpling.
She's a Debbie Downer, will not play, hates mealworms even live ones and looks like she smells poop 24/7.
She's also kind of lumpy like a dumpling, going to be trippy to see how she turns out and does out there.
I thought she might be a roo too she's one of the biggest and she has tiny black tipped wings and no tail yet.
Im seeing a second layer now though same color as the others.
She's way too "don't touch me" to everybody to be a roo as well.
Iv'e got one snuggle out of her and that was a forced butt cleaning apology one. :caf

You can be allergic to anything. Birds are one of the only animals I’m not allergic to. Did I mention my houseful of furry four legged kids? Oh, and the bunnies in the garage. Thank you God for allergy medicine!

And expensive. No one around here sells them, which is weird because we have a pretty diverse area being a college town. I can only order in winter and try to make the best of it. Need to save up more money for this year’s order though. The last one didn’t last a week. :lol:
