I used a bucket trap for mice with some success. After the first few days the others got wise.

I got over it. I was just really upset for a while. I've never been able to stay mad at him.

This way they go to get the seeds and fall in and drown. This was for chipmunks, but I don’t see why it couldn’t work for mice. Rats? Probably not seeing as they can swim pretty well.

5 gallon buckets works for chipmunk and mice.. mine also have figured it out

They say a 7 gallon bucket is needed for rats or they can reach or jump out.
