So looked those up. They really do look like birds nests! From what I've read they taste nasty but aren't poisonous. More of a nuisance if they are close to structures that the spores could stick to.

Good morning,

Up early to start working. Need to get some stuff out soon. Wish I could have slept more though. I didn't get to sleep until almost midnight, was awake from 2-3:20 or so. Not Thing 2's fault just couldn't get back to sleep. And then he woke at 6:20 and I got up after nursing him.

No. But I will be looking up bird nest mushrooms. Standard mushroom look just ones I'd never seen in the yard before. But....2020....soooo

No. But I will be looking up bird nest mushrooms. Standard mushroom look just ones I'd never seen in the yard before. But....2020....soooo

They look like alien bug nests and send their spores everywhere on strungs. They could almost be cute if you think of them as miniature birds nests. Until a spore lands on you and wint come off. Needless to say I raked up all my wood mulch at that piunt.

Wednesday's are just a little extra nutty here. It is trash day which means they also mow the alley. The mowers throw crap into my kennel so dogs must stay inside or risk injury from flying stuff. It is ok....I guess. I just don't like the extra chaos.
