I was a union steward for decades.I hope they learn from it. For real he was not even close to hitting the goals for that sub assembly, was messing with his phone numerous times a day, eating on the line, had open top drinks on the line all after I politely informed him it was all needing corrected. Not to mention the off task visiting with other staff.
Today I will have to handle all the questions from the rest of the team.
Had to give a verbal warning, then a written, then a one day suspension, then a three day and then fired.... within a year.... unless caught stealing or sexual abuse.
Most people straightened up by the first suspension.
Some people I wished could be fired right off the bat.
