It's going to be another dry day here. A good coop cleaning followed by dog baths and house cleaning are on the list for today.
Now that we approach spring I think I will start planning the garden as well.

Glad you got in a nap Clue!
Christmas wasnt bad here. Ive learned to lower my expectations 🤣. Kiddo loves his new cast iron pan. Only problem is, Ive never owned one and dont know how to care for one. I told him to look it up online. I was afraid after last year and his bday, that he may get mad I bought him anything.

I love my cast irons!

New.....scrub with dish soap thoroughly, rinse well, dry in a hot oven, cool, lightly oil with vegetable oil all over and yes that sucker goes back in the oven.
That's the beginning of the "seasoning" process.
I fry in mine often so rarely have to repeat the oil process. I do however ALWAYS hand wash and dry in a hot oven. I find 300° to be plenty warm to do the job. Just preheat, turn off and leave the pan in while the oven cools down.

My cast irons are 32 years old and going strong.
