Hi folks!

I’m still alive. I made it through the weekend! I had my first regularly scheduled Friday off on Friday and I’m glad I did. I felt horrible. I thought I had already had the tummy bug that was going through my family, apparently not. I didn’t really feel like eating anything all day. I felt mostly better the next day, but cheese still tastes off to me. Saturday was crazy. We got about 10” of snow and we were without power from 7:30 am until 6:30pm. I had to climb the hill behind our house to get cell signal to call the power company. I got this nice picture of the houses.

Thank goodness the power came back on when it did because it went down into the single digits Saturday night into Sunday morning. Saturday was also the Milk Drinker’s first Birthday! My mom made a cake for him since they have a stove with a pilot light and could use it during the outage. We got to eat dinner with lights on and I got a bath after being cold most of the day. Here is a pic of the mess he made with his cake.

Sunday, we didn’t have church because the heat in our church building isn’t great and it got so cold overnight. The boys were going nuts from being cooped up in the house. We didn’t get any break from them because my mom was in bed all day yesterday with the tummy bug. My FIL has the tummy bug today.

Today was a normal workday for me. I really wanted to sleep in this morning. Thing 1 woke me and DH up at 4:30 this morning and I didn’t get back to sleep until 6 when DH got up to keep Thing 1 from waking Thing 2. I feel like I haven’t had a good, solid night’s sleep since this round of sickness started. Going to bed soon to see if I can get a head start on sleep.
