post pics of your rescue pets

Joe we got from a lady who found him in the street. He had super short stringy hair, respiratory infection and super skinny. Look at him now:

And this is Jak, my sweet lil man. He was found with his litter mates under a house with no mom in sight at 4weeks old.

We rescued Hurley from a super tiny tank with only about 6" of water (he was the size of a salad plate) and put him in our larger 46gallon bow front tank with above tank basking and proper lighting and he had his first proper shed (I kept his shell pieces) and he was such a happier boy after that. He now lives in a huge pond with a female companion

We foster a lot too, so I would have WAY too many pics to add of all our rescues there. LOL. I'm loving this post too, I like reading stories from people who have rescued their pets

OMG, he was sooooo awesome. Best first turtle I could have asked for! Wasn't scared of anything either. could walk right up and poke him on the back or tickle his back with a toothbrush to make him wiggle and enjoy the scratching. I miss him

We just rescued this little boy from the snake cage last night. DH got a rat for his snake I told him not to let me see it. After 5 hours of being in with the snake he took the cover off and there he was and I SAW HIM. so out he came. Meet Nicodemus.

After Thanksgiving dinner, Last Week, my daughter and I went walking in the woods and found this old doggie laying in the creek way back in the woods. She had given up and was trying to die. We came along and wouldnt let her. She was not injured, just starving. She is doing so much better now! So perky and happy for her age. We are looking for lost owners but she will stay here if none are found.
So far we are just calling her old doggie.

She follows my Am Bulldogs around, She is partly blind but I think she can see the White on them. They have accepted her and never like other dogs! Strange!

Here is our rescue. His name is Riot and he was listed at our local high-kill shelter as a "lab mix" he was a little four pound blonde wild man... like a tornado or maybe the tazmanian devil. Hubby always wanted a german shepherd and I said "NO WAY too much shedding! We are absolutely NOT getting a shepherd! We are getting a lab,"

So, did you know that German Shepherds come in WHITE??? Yeah, neither did I.

So my little land shark.. uh, I mean lab mix eventually got these big old pointy ears

... what do we have? Shepherd in disguise.. such a little liar.

And yes we have hair EVERYWHERE, I say bad words every time I wear black or vaccuum the house... and it is all worth it. He has the biggest personality of any dog I have ever met and is the smartest by far. He is so high maintenance, with stomach issues, grain free food only, high prey drive, super high energy level... but he fills our house with laughter and he is always willing to give mama some smooches. I wouldn't trade him for anything... even though he is a liar!

Picture to left is my beloved Border Collie/Heeler mix on the river. We adopted her from the shelter when she was 10 weeks old. She is now 11 yrs and going strong.

Here she is leaping for a frisbee:
