I usually plant cabbage, broccoli, collards, mustard greens, green onion. I may also plant garlic, lettuce and carrots.
When the weather cools down some I need to work on my strawberry beds. One has tons of runners and the other is so weedy and needs straw added.

Will you have a fall garden?
We’ve been trying to get a pumpkins, turnips, and rutabaga in the ground but the tilling has been brutal and it’s been at a standstill for other projects :th

Heat has been slowing me down. I have too many projects going on at one time. I do what I can!

When will you get your first frost? Most pumpkin varieties take around 100 days or more. I just harvested some pie pumpkins yesterday. 🎃 Only had a couple plants and happy with the 14 small pumpkins I got. Don't know if I'll make pie or ???
My chickens love them! Makes yolks a great color too!
Never grown rutabaga or turnips. Thinking about it.

15 pints of peaches done and dehydrator running with the rest. Hubby comes home and says, "Did you leave any to eat fresh?" 🤦‍♀️

first frost here can be anywhere from Halloween to Thanksgiving. some of the pumpkin seeds I got were under 100 days so it looks like I may be out of time to get them in the ground this year. We've mainly done throw and grow type turnips as foodplot for hunting season so this year is really first try in cultivated plot. I did get sand to mix in with the seeds for planting, but same situation as the pumpkins.......not sure we can get them in the ground around all the other projects that need to be finished.
