T minus 4 days until Apollo the puppy comes home. I've been trying to puppy proof everything and I often forget what it's like to have a puppy in the house. Cosmo is almost 2 but it seems like so long ago.

He'll only be 8 weeks old so it should be interesting. The LGD group that i belong to encourages the first 90 days to basically be tethered to the pup/let him go wherever you go to build that bond so he's more inclined to do the things you ask of him later on. We'll see how it goes.

So do calls pretty much come in any color/patern? I think tiny Appleyards and Chocolate Anconas would be pretty neat.

Pretty much, lol. For some reason, they're the breed that gets played with most in terms of colors. Not all of the colors are accepted, of course. Most are projects. But yeah, a lot of color genetics can be found in Calls. You could probably make or find any color at all in them.

I thought they were buddies in their old home
Ya know.... I thought I said that too.
I could have sworn I made a special phone call just in regards to them getting along. Pretty sure I specifically asked "do they live in the same pin? Do they get along well? " Maybe, and this is a strong maybe, I just dreamt it all. :he

People are frustrating... I would have literally bought any of her birds, as long as it got along with Sir Frizz. Including this fugly half breed hoof footed fused toed wire haired "Silkie"!!!
🤬

Okay, I feel a bit better.
**continues to grumble under his breath**

So I paid $23 for both, I would have paid $25 just for the frizzle. I wouldn't rehome an aggressive bird, so if worse comes to it, in the stock pot he goes. 🐓 + 💩😑 = 🍗

I don't think I've ever had a frizzled chicken. I have one silkie that could kinda-sorta pass for frizzled, but it's hard to tell. But out of the two serama chicks that I kept, the teeny black/brown chick is definitely a frizzled (gal?) At least I hope she's a she...
Oh cool! Toss some pictures up when you get time. :love

Oh wow are they native? never seen anything like that in North Fla.
They are from South America and grow in zones 9b-11 here in the states. It's actually blooming about a month early, but we're are in zone 9a too. It acts a bit erratic here, and sometimes will have a fall bloom also.

That's beautiful! I need that tree in my yard.
Once they are done blooming I'm going to attempt to air layer about 8-12 of the lower branches. It's right by the street and is about time for a trim. If it goes well you're welcome to a couple of trees.

I haven't actually watched this video, so I might not do it exactly like this, but this is what air layering is.
