So do I! They are fascinating! Each time I go out to watch my ducks (and my rabbits!) I keep trying to figure out what would be the best combination for breeding in the Spring.

I've already decided my Blue cross drake is going to be paired with as many of my blacks as possible. From these, I'm going to breed some Splash.

The plans for my Muscovy is in total disarray right now! How dare a drake turn into a duck! The nerve!

It's just that it's different, lol! And yes, it's great!

I have come to the realization that East Indies are about the cutest thing I've ever seen!!! There were a couple of them at the fair today. OMG, so adorable!!! SO TINY!!!

Duck genetics are impossible. I've been breeding ducks for 5 years and its still ducks are like a box of chocolates, you never know what your are gonna get

It is the same with Tomatoes: I have planted Roma-, Beefsteak-, Pear-, Lemonboy- and a couple of other tomato seeds criss-cross in my garden.
The result were yellow tomatoes with orange stripes, orange tomatoes with a yellow interior, yellow roma-tomatoes and even some dark-purple ones.
Will definitely do that again next year!
