Last year one of the neighbor's car was hit by a wild turkey…
The car as well as the turkey were both total losses.
The neighbor's wife and daughter suffered only some scratches and bruises, fortunately.

They don't seem to. Emus are very tough,and the ones I've seen get hit will do a few rolls, a turtle frail and then jump up and be gone before the next car comes. They are immune to death

Have you ever heard of the Australian Emu Wars? The Emu won. I'm not joking.

I hit a deer a few months ago, but thankfully only caught her rump. She went tumbling head over heals then bolted into the bush. No damage to my car, either. We were both very lucky, and she was very stupid.

Canadian Wind would have loved to of seen your daughters face when she saw all you brought home.

I met her at work and went inside with a duckling. When she came out her first words were "Why did you bring a duck in here?!" (she works at a restaurant) and then broke into a huge happy grin as she saw the little poofball.

"That's why," I told her, pleased with myself.

She already knew about the ducky exchange. Just not the extras I got. I simply said I got four extra females, and she left it at that. Oh, and I think it's three females... One is definitely a drake.

And one definitely has angelwing. They hatched in May, is it too late to fix it? I need to go over that thread on the front page again...
