Yes, five chickens, twelve chicks. And three rabbits, and three cats, and a wuss of a dog.

Heat lamp is on in the brooder room (my bathroom) to keep them warm, although they don't really need it anymore. It's more so I can close the door and have the heat concentrated out in the main part of the trailer.

Right now, it's -18C / 0F. It is Cold. Heaters aren't keeping up. Still haven't had a chance to get propane to supplement. BUT, my daughter got the duck food!

You need to get propane asap!
Your electricity bill will break the bank if you use space-heaters and heat-lamps instead!

Happy Sunday Everybody!​

We got about an inch of snow on the ground, surprisingly the roads are all free. But it is lousy cold here, -6°/21F and we likely won't get out of the frost until Monday late morning.
And it is that wet, windy kind of cold, that penetrates every jacket or coat. The ducks hated it so much yesterday evening, that they put themselves to bed. I came out to serve supper and there were no ducks at the patio and when i called them they just squeaked from inside the house…
